ABOUT US
We are the RIT Theme Park Enthusiasts. Our mission is to bring together those with a similar passion for roller coasters and theme parks and foster excitement this unique industry.
We were founded in November 2014 by a group of students who were looking for a place to discuss their passions and work towards future careers in the amusement industry. Our club is a multidisciplinary group of students with backgrounds in engineering, design, business and more.​
Our club participates in a variety of activities including design competitions, multidisciplinary projects, networking and professional development events, amusement park trips, and behind the scenes tours.

President
Eli Hansen
Eli is a 5th year Mechanical Engineering student in the Kate Gleason College of Engineering. His favorite park is Cedar Point and a fun fact about Eli is that he has now ridden nearly six times the number of coasters he had ridden before joining TPE in Fall 2021!
Vice President
Eliza Throne
Eliza is a 5th year Mechanical Engineering student in the Kate Gleason College of Engineering. Her favorite park is King’s Island and a fun fact about Eliza is that she likes to do flying trapeze in her free time! She also really enjoys stuffed crust pizza!
Secretary
Gabriel Weiss
Gabriel is a 2nd year Mechanical Engineering student in the Kate Gleason College of Engineering. His favorite park is EPCOT and a fun fact about Gabriel is that he listened to 45 days worth of music on Spotify this year!
Treasurer
Anakin Schneider
Anakin is a 4th year Mechanical Engineering student in the Kate Gleason College of Engineering. His favorite park is Hersheypark even though his favorite ride is Millennium Force at Cedar Point. A fun fact about Anakin is that he loves to ski and hike!
Public Relations
Julia Hackford
Julia is a 2nd year Mechanical Engineering student in the Kate Gleason College of Engineering. Her favorite park is Disney’s Hollywood Studios and a fun fact about Julia is that she loves baking! She especially likes making all types of cakes, pastries, and pies!
Faculty Advisor
Tim Landschoot
Mr. Tim Landschoot is a professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department of RIT and holds both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has been the advisor of the Theme Park Enthusiasts since they were founded in 2015 and has been their greatest supporter.
